Solidarity Campaign for Bahía Blanca Victims

The General Confederation of Labor (CGT), together with the unions that comprise it, is carrying out solidarity campaigns with the aim of sending supplies to the residents of Bahía Blanca who suffered the consequences of the storm that hit the region in the days prior to the last weekend.

In a conversation with Noticias Argentinas, the CGT revealed that they are undertaking this initiative in collaboration with the Youth Union and each of the affiliated unions, and that on Friday the 14th, a "solidarity train" will depart for Bahía Blanca with all the collected donations. Furthermore, they reported that several unions are working directly in the affected area, making themselves available to the victims with food, cleaning products, and medications.

The central office located at Azopardo 802 will be receiving donations that will be directly allocated to those affected, requesting clothing, footwear, non-perishable food, mattresses, blankets, and hygiene supplies. Additionally, regional delegations and unions will open their facilities to receive donations.

"In addition to continuous assistance to neighborhoods, community organizations, and dining halls, the unions are leading the extensive campaign in favor of Bahía Blanca," stated the central office. Those interested in joining this cause can approach any union affiliated with the CGT or directly to the central office on Azopardo to collaborate with those affected.

"The organized labor movement once again demonstrates its solidarity and support for those who need it most."
